The MDC165 Mission Coupling is a high-performance flexible connector engineered to join 150mm PVC pipework to 150mm cast iron pipes. Manufactured from robust EPDM rubber and reinforced with stainless steel clamping bands, it provides a strong, watertight, and durable sealing solution for both modern and traditional drainage systems.

Product Features/Specifications:

This coupling features a heavy-duty EPDM rubber sleeve combined with corrosion-resistant stainless steel bands that ensure consistent radial pressure around both pipe materials. Its flexible design allows for effective joining between smooth PVC surfaces and the irregular or weathered exterior of cast iron, ensuring a secure and uniform connection.

Detailed Product Benefits:

The MDC165 coupling is built to withstand the demanding conditions of underground drainage environments. The EPDM rubber body offers excellent resistance to chemicals, moisture, soil contact, and temperature fluctuations. Stainless steel bands create a firm mechanical seal that prevents leakage and compensates for minor imperfections or misalignments between pipe ends.

This coupling is ideal for transitioning older cast iron systems to modern PVC installations, eliminating the need for costly adaptors or pipe replacement. Its flexible construction absorbs vibration, surface irregularities, and dimensional variances, improving long-term system reliability and reducing installation time.

Applications and Versatility:

Perfect for underground drainage, sewer connections, soil system upgrades, and mixed-material repairs, the MDC165 allows installers to connect 150mm PVC to 150mm cast iron effortlessly. It is widely used in property refurbishments, maintenance work, new builds, and civil engineering projects where traditional drainage materials interface with modern alternatives.

Features & Benefits List:

  • Connects 150mm PVC to 150mm cast iron pipes
  • Manufactured from durable EPDM rubber
  • 316 stainless steel bands ensure strong, even sealing pressure
  • Provides a watertight, airtight, and corrosion-resistant connection
  • Flexible design accommodates misalignment and uneven pipe surfaces
  • Easy and fast installation—no specialist tools required
  • Suitable for drainage upgrades, repairs, and mixed-material systems

Technical Specifications:

  • Pipe Compatibility: 150mm PVC to 150mm cast iron
  • Materials: EPDM rubber sleeve with 316 stainless steel clamp bands
  • Applications: Underground drainage, sewer lines, soil systems
  • Performance: Meets industry standards for flexible drainage couplings
