Meet Sophie Mollicone, Stock Controller at Joseph Parr Bradford.

Sophie Mollicone is a dedicated and motivated team member at Joseph Parr Bradford Ltd, an independent builders’ merchant known for its commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service in the construction sector.

Sophie is currently taking an exciting step in her professional development by undertaking a diploma training course with theBuilders Merchants Federation Ltd(BMF) - the leading UK trade association for builders’ merchants and suppliers.

The BMF Diploma in Merchant Management is a structured course designed to deepen understanding of merchanting principles, business operations, customer service, and industry best practices. Participants typically work through a series of modules that blend practical industry knowledge with management and operational skills, enabling them to contribute even more effectively to their role.

By pursuing this diploma, Sophie is demonstrating strong ambition and a commitment to continuous learning - qualities that are not only valued within your company but also highly regarded across the wider builders’ merchant industry. It’s a clear sign that she is developing both her specialist expertise and leadership potential as part of her career progression.
Sophie will join colleagues Jack Morris (Branch Manager) and Dale Spiers (Area Sales) in completing the Diploma at the Bradford depot.

Gemma Robb is a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with a strong foundation in financial record-keeping, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounts management. She is highly organised, methodical in her approach, and committed to maintaining accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.

Alongside her bookkeeping responsibilities, Gemma is currently undertaking Credit Management training with the Chartered Institute of Credit Management. This professional development demonstrates her ambition to broaden her expertise within credit control, risk assessment, and effective debtor management. By enhancing her knowledge in credit management principles and best practice, she is further strengthening her ability to support business cash flow, minimise financial risk, and build strong client relationships.

Gemma is proactive in her learning, eager to apply new skills in practice, and committed to continuous professional development within the finance sector.
